Hello, good evening all women . Nice to meet you all women in Munich.
I am Betty Namuganza a Ugandan living in Fürstenfeldbruck, Fliegerhorst camp.
Am here on behalf of FLIT SOLIDARITY AFRICA AND REPRESENTING WOMEN REFUGEES IN THE CAMPS AND LGBTI REFUGEES.
We women in the camp we are facing alot of challenges and these include:
(1) HEALTH AND SANITATION.
We don't have enough doctors in the camp, we only get a female doctor once in a week for only 3 hours and we are more than 500 women in the camp.
We sleep in congested room, one room more than 9 women and sharing one bathroom and toilet with like 200 women.
We are eligible and vulnerable to diseases.
The whole camp we are more than 1000 people and we only get a doctor for 3 hours a day and only from Monday to Friday no weekends. We are mixed in the camp with boys with girls yet some are LGBTI who
don't feel free to associate with different sex, because some times boys go touching on ladies ass and when we complain to securities, they do nothing only saying that we complain too much, and other boys enter in our rooms and bathrooms, please we need privacy.
(2)DEPORTATION OF LGBTI AND MOTHERS
Deportation for LGBTI WOMEN, US lesbian we leave our countries because we are not safe, our lives in danger but they deport us back, please stop deportation for LGBTI AND Stop deportation for mothers, women are the mothers or the world, stop deportation for women.
Some refugees are not allowed to work yet others have family and government money is not really enough for the family, please government we need to work and fit in the community so that we can afford to get some basic needs like other.
(4) INFORMATION IN THE CAMP
We don't have enough social workers in the camp, no people to advice us and we need much counselling,
Like lesbians, because we leave our countries when we need alot of counselling.
Some interviewers don't give us enough time during our asylum interviews, others say we are lying to everything we tell them, others do not listen to our stories only give us alot of questions before explaining to them really what happened to us, please listen to us and respect our interviews.
Lastly please stop deportation for LGBTI, MOTHERS WITH CHILDREN, AND PREGNANT MOTHERS...
Thank you so much for listening to me and for this opportunity to talk before you all women in Munich, I love you all
NAMUGANZA BETTY FLIT SOLIDARITY AFRICA.
